President's Welcome
Hello and welcome to Women In Leadership (WIL)! Whether you just stumbled upon our website, were directed here from a friend/colleague, or are already a member, I thank you for stopping by and reading about our amazing organization.
Women In Leadership was founded in 2004 and is comprised of some of the most outstanding women in Central Illinois. Our organization is geared towards helping you get connected, stay connected and develop your networking skills to build you personally and professionally. There is not a set standard that you have to meet to be a part of our organization, other than holding a leadership position. We don’t care if you are just starting in the work force or have been working for 40+ years. Together we can all learn something from each other.
Our organization holds monthly luncheons on the second Thursday of each month at the Country Club of Peoria. The only exception is in February where we meet offsite. I encourage you to check out our Calendar of Events to learn more about our monthly speakers and to double check the location. We provide ample time for you to network with women so be sure to sit at a different table each month.
If you are looking to get involved, but are not sure how check out our Committees section. There are a variety of committees developed to help you get your feet wet within our organization, whether you wish to assist in planning speakers, events, marketing, the list goes on! The more you put into our organization the more you are sure to obtain from your membership.
I look forward to serving as your President this year. If you have any ideas, questions, or concerns, please let me know! The 2009-2010 Board of Directors have a very exciting year ahead and we hope that you will feel a part of the WIL family at every meeting and event. You are important to our organization and we value your input.
Here is to a wonderful year filled with much success, friendship and laughter!
